Benefits of children wearing uniform

• Teaches children about life skills. As their educators our jobs are to prepare them for the best possible start to life. When they move onto school it is a compulsory requirement to wear a uniform just as many jobs require people to wear a uniform. Therefore, teaching children they cannot always wear whatever they want whenever they please is a life skill.

• Mornings in a busy family home can be stressful enough without having the added pressure of deciding what you are going to put on your child first thing in the morning. By them having a uniform out ready for the next day this relieves some of that stress and strain. 

• Uniforms helps to establish a routine child know. When they have their uniform on it is a school day and when they can wear their own clothes it’s time to spend at home and with their family.

• At nursery we love playing outside in the garden in the mud kitchen or in the room getting creative with paint, colouring, sticking or messy play with a variety of sensory materials. By wearing a uniform, it avoids children’s nice outfits becoming messy and stained.
