Top 20 Small Nursery Groups 2024 by Parent Recommendation - Day Nurseries Awards
For the past nine years, New Beginnings has been ranked in the top 20 Small Nursery chains within the UK and most recommended in the London and South East regions. This award is based on all of our parents/carers taking the time to write some amazing reviews on each of our settings. These reviews wouldn't be written without the continued dedication and hard work from all of our staff team to ensure we provide quality childcare for all of our New Beginnings children.

Highly Commended 2019 Nursery World Awards
We are pleased to announce after entering the nursery world awards in 2018 we won 'Highly Commended' within the food category. This is a great achievement for us at New Beginnings as children's health and well-being is vitally important for them to continue to learn and grow. Therefore we are very proud to have been recognised as continuously promoting and supporting this within our everyday practice. This year we have been lucky enough to have been shortlisted for our entry on 'Online and Social Media'. Unfortunately we did not receive this award but are very proud to have been shortlisted in this category.

Healthy Early Years Award 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022
This year we have taken part in The Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) this programme works with the Early Years settings to support and encourage their work in promoting health and wellbeing. The award is broken down into four stages first steps, bronze, silver and gold. We are pleased to share with you all that we have completed all the steps and stages starting with the first steps and have now received our bronze, silver and gold award. We are always continuing to promote all children's health and well being.

Business Awards
We have been nominated and finalist in the Essex and Havering business awards over the years. In 2015 we were privileged to be awarded by HSBC " Small business of the year " in the London business awards.
Staff Training and Development Awards
We are always seeking to strive to support staff in their development and career progressions. We have been finalist in the NMT awards and won the Havering and London business awards 2015 for staff training and development.
NDNA’s Nursery of the Year Award
In 2014 we won the NDNA’s nursery of the year awards and were runners up in 2016. Since 2017 we have continued to enter this award and become our families winner through the wonderful comments we receive year on year from them.
Essex Mums Awards
We were shortlisted in the Essex Mums 2019 awards. These awards give parents/carers the opportunity to vote for their favourite people, places and things within the local area. We are lucky enough to have been in the 2019 shortlisted within the category 'People, Shops and Services for Best Nursery/Pre-School. www.essexmums.com

Food Hygiene Ratings
Our kitchens are clearly the heartbeat of our nurseries and combining our Nursery cook’s passion with delicious meals and a sparkling preparation area is where the magic happens! Achieving the highest rating of 5 by the Food Standards Agency is important to reflect the high standards & high priority that we place on healthy practices. Healthy Eating Award - Food for Life Soil Association
New Beginnings gained the ‘Food for Life Soil Association Early Years Award’ in March 2018 and have retained this award every year since, most recently in March 2024. To gain this accreditation we were required to gather evidence in four criteria Food Quality, Food Leadership and Culture, Food Education and Community, Partnership and Parental Engagement. First Aid Training - Millie’s Mark Accreditation
Ofsted only require one member of staff to be first aid trained within the nursery at any given time. For us we strongly believe that every individual should be trained to support and respond to an accident or injury. Each one of our nurseries hold the Millie’s Mark Paediatric accreditation, which champions excellence in first aid training and delivery www.milliesmark.com
Quality Counts - Teaching and Learning Awards
Each New Beginnings holds an accreditation which has enabled managers and staff to measure our performance against quality standards. Romford holds the Basic Skills Quality Mark and are currently undertaking the QUILT standards. Loughton holds a "gold" level 3 Equality counts with the NDNA and Rainham has achieved the Quality mark consistently from the DFE for 12 year continuously.
QUILT-Quality Improvement in Learning & Teaching Accreditation
New Beginnings Romford have this year completed their QUILT accreditation run by the local authority. This accreditation is made up of 9 modules- Relationships & Interactions, Parental Partnership, The Physical Environment, Learning & Teaching, Learning Experiences, Staffing, Observation Assessment & Planning and Equal Opportunities. We have achieved all these modules at credit level and continue to ensure our learning and teaching is of the highest level and always improving.
Quality Counts NDNA Platinum
Quality Counts is NDNA's quality improvement scheme for nurseries. It showcases nurseries that want to reflect, review and improve their practice to the highest quality standards. Achieving Quality Counts gives our parents and staff the reassurance that our nursery meets defined and robust quality standards. In January 2023 we took part in the quality counts assessment and after the visits was awarded the highest grade of platinum.

RoSPA Member
We are member's of RoSPA-The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. This is British charity that aims to save lives and prevent life-changing injuries which occur as the result of an accident.
NDNA Member
We are members of the NDNA-National Day Nurseries Association. This is a national charity and membership association for nurseries. They provide support, information and advice, childcare training and a quality improvement scheme e-Quality counts. It also provides information and advice for parents/carers to help them choose the right nursery for their child.
The Royal Society for the prevention of accidents (ROSPA)
Covid 19 Workplace Champion 2022
We are delighted that a member of our team, Joanna, has been nominated as a COVID Workplace Champion in recognition of their expertise, passion and unwavering commitment to keeping children, colleagues and communities safe during the COVID pandemic.
ROSPA have informed us that they receive nearly 300 nominations, from many different industry sectors and from 19 countries around the globe. We are therefore pleased to announce that New Beginnings was recognised as an employer who went over and above to keep everyone safe.
