This year we are taking part in the Mayor of London's Healthy Early Years Award for Health, Well Being and Education this award has been put in place to support Early Year's settings promote health and well being through our everyday practice.
This award covers a number of important areas such as;
·Healthy eating
·Breastfeeding
·Starting solid food
·Oral health;
·Physical activity and development
·Reducing sedentary (inactive) behaviour
·Speech, language and communication
·Early cognitive development
·Social and emotional health and wellbeing
·Supporting children with chronic health conditions
·Special educational needs and disabilities
·Sustainability e.g. air quality.
The award is broken down into four stages first steps, bronze, silver and gold. We are pleased to share with you all that we have so far completed the first steps and received our bronze award we are now looking forward to moving onto the silver award and continuing to promote all children's health and well being.
