Safeguarding commitment
At New Beginnings Nurseries Ltd we are firmly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We expect all staff, volunteers, students, and other adults working in our provision to share this commitment and to promote a culture where children’s safety and well-being come first.
We recognise that the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework sets clear expectations for all early years providers to ensure children are kept safe, that staff are suitable and appropriately trained, and that recruitment and ongoing personnel practice reflects this.
Safer recruitment
We ensure that our recruitment, selection and employment practices are in line with best practice and the strengthened requirements of the EYFS. Our procedures are designed to prevent unsuitable people from working with children and to support our staff in providing safe, high quality care and education.
Ongoing safeguarding culture
We expect all colleagues to embed safeguarding in their everyday practice. We support this by:
- Providing regular safeguarding training in line with statutory EYFS expectations, including induction training and ongoing refresher training.
- Ensuring safeguarding policies include clear procedures for raising concerns, including whistleblowing channels, and how staff are supported to put training into practice.
- Promoting an open culture where concerns can be reported promptly and appropriately.
