The Importance of Policies and Procedures in Early Years Care

Policies and procedures are essential for delivering high-quality care that meets the standards set by the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The EYFS requires that providers establish written policies and procedures and provide training to staff during their induction. This ensures that all team members have a thorough understanding and can effectively implement these guidelines.

    We have always monitored attendance at New beginnings nursery. As part of the safeguarding reforms , the statutory requirements have been updated as of September 2025. We have therefore created a policy to be clear to parents their obligations to report absences promptly.
